SALT LAKE CITY — Starting Friday, the SafeUT app will have a whole new look and new website at SafeUt.org.

The website offers resources to provide support to whoever may be facing a mental health crisis or concern.

The SafeUT app provides immediate two-way communication with a licensed counselor at no cost at any time of day.

“When we launched SafeUT in 2015, our goal was to continue to improve, grow, and evolve the app and what we offer through the program,” said Rachel Lucynski, business operations manager, HMHI Crisis Services. “SafeUT will always be a resource for students, and now we have more to offer parents, educators, frontline workers, and members of the National Guard through the app and our new website.”

The SafeUT app provides support through chat, text or phone call. All communications are confidential.

Additionally, the Huntsman Mental Health Institute has counselors and crisis workers, who are trained to handle any type of crisis.

The website also supports SafeUT Frontline and SafeUTNG (National Guard), which launched in 2020.

SafeUT services are provided by the University of Utah Health.
