SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Jazz announced Friday the addition of long-time sports broadcaster Holly Rowe to its television broadcast team this season.

A native of Utah

Rowe, a Utah native, will serve as a sideline reporter during games this season. Rowe attended both BYU and the University of Utah before climbing the ladder to the national stage. She has been at ESPN and ABC for 25 years.

During her 30 years of experience in the industry, Rowe has covered the NBA, WNBA, NFL, World Cup Soccer and college football.

“We are excited to add someone with as much versatility, insight and storytelling experience as Holly to our broadcast,” said Jazz Chief Marketing Officer Bart Sharp in a press release. “In addition to having profound local ties in our state, Holly is also a well-respected and established national sports broadcaster which we feel will give our fans a unique perspective on our franchise.”

Others on the Jazz broadcast team

Rowe will be working along side Emmy Award-winning broadcaster Craig Bolerjack, who enters his 17th season as the television voice of the Jazz.

Former Jazzman Thurl Bailey will serve as the team’s color analyst along side Bolerjack. Bailey enters his 21st season as a Jazz broadcaster. He also played 10 seasons for Utah, appearing in 708 games.

Alema Harrington and Mike Smith will anchor the Jazz pregame, halftime and postgame shows. Harrington is in his 12th season with the organization, while Smith enters his fourth season with the Jazz.

Former sideline reporter Kristen Kenney is no longer with the team.

Utah will start training camp Tuesday in Las Vegas. The Jazz will open the preseason on Oct. 4 against the San Antonio Spurs.
