Utah’s Yum Yum food truck explosion leaves two men in the hospital

UTAH — An explosion at World Famous Yum Yum’s food truck left two employees in the emergency room with burns.

The company says a fryer malfunction on Friday night and caused an explosion of flames in the truck. The two victims, Ben and Brevin Pierce, were in the truck at the time, a third person named Bryson was also in the truck but was able to escape the flames.

Ben suffered burns on his face, arms, hands, and body, Brevin has second-degree burns on his face and is now recovering. 

World Famous Yum Yum food trucks made headlines over the summer when their truck got vandalized with racist graffiti. After a community outpour, they were able to get back in business

In their Facebook post, the company said they hope to be back in business soon.
