The Bravo television network has announced that Jennie Nguyen will no longer be a cast member of ‘The Real Houswives of Salt Lake City,’ citing “offensive social media posts.”

The network made the announcement to fans on its Instagram account on Tuesday.

At issue are social media posts made by Nguyen in 2020 about the Black Lives Matter movement.

On her personal Instagram account, Nguyen “acknowledged and apologized for” the posts which have since been deleted from Facebook.

“At the time, I thought I was speaking out against violence,” the post read, “but I have since learned how offensive and hurtful my words were.

“I continue to try to learn about perspectives different from my own. I regret those posts and am sincerely sorry for the pain they caused,” Nguyen’s Instagram post continued.

Two other stars from The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City have received negative media coverage. Mary Crosby was charged with providing shelter to a runaway and contributing to the delinquency of a minor in April 2021.

In March, 2021, Jennifer Shah was arrested and charged in connection with a nationwide telemarketing fraud scheme.
