Construction trailer fire sends 20-year-old man to hospital

SALT LAKE CITY — A 20-year-old construction worker suffered serious burns Tuesday after the construction trailer he was working near caught fire, according to the Salt Lake City Fire Department.
Dan Walker, of the Salt Lake City Fire Department, says the incident occurred in the area of 669 E. 18th Avenue at 4:40 p.m.
Walker also says the worker suffered burns to 20% to 30% of his body.
The victim, who was the only one injured, was taken to the burn center at the University of Utah.
Walker also says there were no reports of an explosion, and crews were able to put the fire out in roughly 10 minutes.
The cause of the construction trailer fire is under investigation.
