MILLCREEK, Utah — The Unified Police Department arrested a man on suspicion of obstruction of justice on Sunday in relation to a fatal shooting in a 7-11 parking lot.

18-year-old Talib Ahmed was shot and killed on Nov. 11. UPD arrested 18-year-old Houssein Musse on suspicion of murder the same day.

Police suspect a second man, 23-year-old Joshua Nena, of lying to and obstructing justice. A probable cause statement said that Ahmed was Nena’s cousin.

The statement said that two men put Ahmed in a Lexus after he was shot. Police found the car and tried to pull it over, but were not successful.

The statement alleged that the Lexus was used to take Ahmed to the hospital where he later died, and said that the car belongs to Nena.

The UPD accused Nena of lying and said he initially reported his Lexus stolen.

According to the probable cause statement, Nena later admitted that his Lexus was not stolen but would not tell authorities who had it.
