SALT LAKE CITY — Holiday travel is back to near pre-pandemic levels. As such, airports will be busy, and lines will be long.

Adam Ryan, a flight attendant with Delta Air Lines, came on Utah’s Morning News to provide tips to those who may be traveling in the coming days.

“Arriving early is probably the best advice I can give,” he said. “Two hours if you’re traveling domestically, three hours internationally.”

In order to better navigate holiday travel, Ryan told KSL NewsRadio passengers need to remember things such as not to bring wrapped presents on flights.

Also, he said passengers need to ensure they don’t bring any prohibited items in their carry-on before entering the security line.

Furthermore, Ryan said smartphone apps can help passengers check in early and monitor their flights. Other methods to checking in exist as well.

“We do have full-service check-in available as well,” he said. “But we also have ambassadors out front assisting customers.”

Utah’s Morning News with Tim Hughes and Amanda Dickson can be heard weekdays from 5 to 9 a.m.
