SALT LAKE CITY — The open house for the renovated Columbus Ohio Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will begin this week.

Elder Allen D. Haynie and Elder Vaiangina Sikahema, of the Church’s North American Northeast Area Presidency, were joined during Monday’s media day by Gov. Mike DeWine (R-Ohio).

The public open house will begin Saturday, April 29 and will run through Saturday, May 13, with the exception of Sundays.

The temple will then be rededicated on Sunday, June 4 in three sessions. President M. Russell Ballard, Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, will preside at the ceremony.

More recently, President Russell M. Nelson announced the Cleveland Ohio Temple in April 2022. The groundbreaking date for that temple has yet to be announced.
