As a legacy of women making a difference, the Junior League of Salt Lake City is “Empowering women by building better communities.” Their members come together with a common vision to identify needs and create positive change for women, children, and families through collaborative programs and advocacy.
The Junior League CARE Fair is an annual event for families in need of routine medical, dental, and vision services along with community assistance information. Oftentimes, barriers such as time, language, financial, and transportation constraints prevent Utah families from receiving basic health and human services. The CARE Fair helps by bringing together community agencies and medical service providers at one time and in one place.
This year’s CARE Fair is July 15th and 16th at the Horizonte Instruction Center at 1234 Main Street in Salt Lake. No appointments or insurance are necessary. All services are provided free of charge on a first-come-first-serve basis.
SelectHealth recognizes the community involvement by the Junior League as another example of how Utah Gives Back.
