SALT LAKE CITY — The 191st Semiannual General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is now underway in Salt Lake City, with the return of a scaled-back in-person Tabernacle Choir and speeches from President Russell M. Nelson and other church leaders.
In the opening minutes of the Saturday morning session, President Nelson encouraged church members to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ.
“There has never been a time in the history of the world when knowledge of our Savior is more personally vital and relevant to every human soul,” President Nelson said.

General conference returns to Conference Center, but audience still scaled back
About 900 people attended in person at the Conference Center Saturday morning, or about 5% of the facility’s capacity. They included members of the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square, along with the family and guests of those speaking.
Attendance is limited for the fourth general conference in a row under COVID-19 protocols aimed at limiting the spread of the virus. Half of the Tabernacle Choir sang on Saturday morning; later in the day, a multi-cultural choir will sing, and the other half of the Tabernacle Choir will sing on Sunday.
All sessions of general conference will air live on KSL NewsRadio and KSL TV. You can also stream video and audio on staging.kslnewsradio.com and on the KSL NewsRadio app.
