General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

SALT LAKE CITY — On April 1st and 2nd, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will come together to hear guidance and inspiration from church leaders. 

The KSL NewsRadio staff has been working for months to help make the upcoming conference unforgettable, and we hope you’ll spend your weekend with us. We will carry all five sessions live on 102.7 FM and 1160 AM or via the KSL NewsRadio app. In addition, we have hours of special content airing before, after and in between sessions. Saturday, April 1st

8:00-9:30 a.m. – KSL Greenhouse

9:30-10:00 a.m. – General Conference: Saturday Morning Session preview hosted by Maria Shilaos

12:00-1:00 p.m.The Webs we weave: The Psychology of lying

Dave Noriega and Debbie Dujanovic tackle the webs we weave when lying is afoot. 

1:00-2:00 p.m. – Prepare for the Unexpected:Learning to be ready for a bad day

Tim Hughes and Amanda Dickson partner with the State of Utah Division of Emergency Management and ReadyWise Utah for a discussion on how individuals and families, schools, businesses, and communities can “Be Ready” to respond and recover from disasters.

2:00-4:00 p.m. – General Conference: Saturday Afternoon Session

4:00 p.m. – Swiping Left on Danger: Combating Dating App Violence in Utah

KSL NewsRadio’s Aimee Cobabe explores the dangers of online dating, along with experts from the legal, phycological, and research fields, as well as lessons learned from victims’ experiences. Assistant produced by Peter Johnston.

5:00 p.m. – The Healing Power of Forgiveness: Lessons learned from The Letter podcast

– In The Letter Podcast, host Amy Donaldson tells the story of Sy Snarr – a mother whose son was killed in a random shooting over 25 years ago. 

6:00 p.m. –  General Conference: Saturday Evening Session

7:30-8 p.m. – Church News Podcast Special: Three of President Russel M. Nelson’s children celebrate his 5 years as prophet, offering a glimpse into his role as a father

In this abbreviated episode of the Church News Podcast, three of President Nelson’s children: Gloria Irion, Laurie Marsh and Russell Nelson Jr. talk about President Nelson’s Church leadership and offer a unique glimpse into his role as a father.

10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – General Conference: Sunday Morning Session

12:00-1:00 p.m. – The Beloved Community: Recognizing & elevating the interconnectedness of our lives

In this one hour special Inside Sources host Boyd Matheson talks to government, community, and faith leaders about what we are doing here in Utah to link and lock arms and make the “Beloved Community” a reality.

1:00-2:00 p.m. – The Power of JustServe: The Interfaith and International Success Blessing the World, One Project at a Time

Church News’ Mary Richards returns to KSL NewsRadio to expose the program’s successful reach, as well as positive social and mental impact.
