SLCPD searching for suspect in connection to two robberies

SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department is asking for help in finding a man who allegedly robbed two financial institutions.

According to a press release, SLCPD’s investigation began at 9:10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 28. Someone called the police about a man that walked into the Mountain America Credit Union at 1715 W. 700 N. and demanded cash.

Four minutes later, officers received a call reporting another similar robbery. A caller said a man had walked into the Zions Bank at 787 N. Redwood Road and demanded cash.

No one was injured during either robbery, SLCPD reports.

Police believe the same individual was involved in both robberies.

Officers searched the surrounding areas but could not find the suspect, the press release states.

The SLCPD asks anyone with information about the suspect’s identity to call 801-799-3000 and reference either case number 22-213458 or 22-213462.
