SALT LAKE CITY — Several crashes caused closures and delays on major freeways and ramps across the state Thursday morning.

I-15 traffic

An early morning crash on northbound on I-15 caused an oil spill in Draper. By 9 a.m. on Thursday, the freeway was closed at 146000 South and there were six miles of stopped traffic going into Lehi.

Another crash on northbound I-15 closed the HOV lane in Lehi. The Utah Department of Transportation estimated that issue would be cleared at 9:15 a.m.

A crash on southbound I-15 on the border of Pleasant Grove and Lindon blocked several lanes, causing backups into American Fork.

Additionally, there is a crash eastbound US 189 at milepost 12, three miles southeast of Provo. The estimated clearance time isn’t until 9:30 a.m.
