At least 4 Utah ski resorts have broken snow records this season

SALT LAKE CITY — It’s been a record-breaking year for snow totals not only along the Wasatch front but into its mountains. So far, four ski resorts have set new records and others are close behind.
Alta, Deer Valley, Solitude and Snowbasin have all broken record snow totals during the 2022-23 ski season.
Additionally, Powder Mountain is only 15 inches away from reaching its 500-inch average for the first time ever.
Alison Palmintere Communications Director with Ski Utah said the ski industry has seen major impacts. She said the impact has been seen in lift lines, heavy traffic and some of the longest seasons yet.
“Obviously snowfall creates some challenges as far as getting people up into the mountain …” Palmintere told KSL NewsRadio. “Overall [the snowpack has] been really positive.”
Further, due to the snowfall, Palmintere said all-mountain terrain has been available.
“[Resorts have] spread people all throughout the mountain. Most of the mountains have their entire terrain open now.”
And as people across the country continue to frequent Utah’s resorts, more records will continue to break.
